What makes Sarasota unique?

Coast line of Siesta Key

Sarasota is a unique destination with its diverse landscape and small town feel. The beauty of its beaches appeal to folks from all around the world. The culinary scene is hip and growing which attracts talented chefs from New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. There is also some local spots like Walts Fish Market and Phillippi Creek Restaurant and Oyster Bar which offer excellent Seafood and bar fair. Walts Seafood is about as fresh as you can get at a restaurant plus their wings are big, juicy and they go great with a cold beer. I have been to both on many occasions and always enjoy the experience. The absolute best bagels in town are from LoxnEggs, which of course is my opinion but try it out, you wont regret it. C'est La Vie is top notch for their croissants and coffee. Solorzano brothers on Webber has some very good pizza. Oak & Stone offers a unique experience with a wall of beer from around the world. Marina Jack is a cool place to check out, if you want to go fishing on a charter boat, this is the place. The Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium is a must see as well. Sarasota has many sites and attractions for all walks of life. The best way for us to support our community is to shop local.
