With one of these, you can block a thrust or a slash and immediately counter with a solid blow to the attacker’s head and body parts. With the crazed mind of someone out to inflict carnage upon you, having an ability to protect, defend, and counter attack can save your life and probably the lives of other people as well.

A telescopic steel baton is fairly inexpensive and it’s very easy to carry with a holster. You can have something that will save your life while providing both defensive and offensive capabilities.

While the steel stick is a good option for most, there is another self-defense tool that I’ve seen used in these horrific videos that can immediately put a machete wielding attacker on the ground. It’s called the TASER and it’s the most effective non-lethal tool available.

Albeit more expensive, the TASER has the ability to immediately take over a person’s body and make it impossible to move. Very easy to use, a laser makes it almost impossible to miss, and the ability to take down an attacker from a distance makes it much safer as well.

While the price tag may put it out of reach for some - and some states don't allow you to possess it - it’s hands down the best option to have when you need to immediately stop someone such as a crazed killer out for blood.
