This saw has a 15 amp motor and with that kind of power it can rip through just about anything you can throw at including 12 mil laminate. The cord is not standard, it is what Dewalt calls a tough cord and can withstand three times the pull pressure as most of the saws in its class. This model also has an electronic brake which can speed up the efficiency when making numerous cuts. The unit has an integrated dust blower which can help to keep the line of sight clear and clean. The base is aluminum which will give the saw longevity compared to a steel base.

Pros

The light weight 8.8lb saw will prove its value over time to anyone in the construction field. The power of 15 amps and E-brake will help with efficiency. The overall footprint and construction proves that Dewalt still makes some of the best power tools in the industry. The warranty is a plus and shows they stand behind what they sell.

Cons

The depth adjustment is poorly placed on the saw but that may be just nitpicking. When I am in the market for a new saw I will definitely take a look at the 575.
